Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Mobile Engineer to join our facilities operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility equipment and systems across multiple locations. You will demonstrate technical expertise in at least one primary craft area—such as Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations—while being capable across other trades. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on skills, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and facility care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and monitoring of mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire/life safety, furniture, and control systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across multiple facilities.
  • Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing/inventory control, and contractor coordination.
  • Service HVAC systems and associated equipment, including inspection, cleaning, calibration, and part replacement to maintain peak efficiency.
  • Record equipment readings and adjust systems to maintain proper operation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices for hazardous materials handling and disposal.
  • Conduct regular tool and instrument inventory checks.
  • Evaluate quality and cost-effectiveness of work performed by external vendors and contractors.
  • Identify safety hazards in the work environment and suggest improvements to eliminate them.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all workplace safety standards.
Qualifications Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
  • Proven expertise in at least one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and correct issues in Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • EPA 608 Type II Certification.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between multiple facilities.
Preferred:
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • Completion of a two-year trade school program in electrical systems, refrigeration, or HVAC.
