Position Summary

As a Facility Maintenance Technician II, you will be an essential part of our maintenance team. Your responsibilities will include routine upkeep, residence turnovers, landscaping, snow removal, and assisting with general facility repairs. This role involves working closely with the Facility Maintenance Mechanic and performing a variety of tasks to ensure the property is clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including mopping, scrubbing, waxing floors, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning walls and windows.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and appliances; replenish paper products, soaps, and other supplies.
• Empty garbage and recycling containers, transport waste to disposal areas.
• Move and arrange furniture; hang window treatments such as drapes or blinds.
• Operate custodial and maintenance equipment such as vacuums, buffers, scrubbers, ladders, and carpet cleaners.
• Support outdoor maintenance: sweep walkways, assist with snow and ice removal, and maintain landscaped areas including watering and applying herbicides.
• Patrol grounds for safety hazards or debris and resolve issues as needed.
• Perform entry-level maintenance tasks: replace light bulbs, unclog drains, change HVAC filters, replace door latches, and assist with light construction or repairs.
• Maintain safety standards and follow agency procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of custodial and groundskeeping practices, including safety procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly and effectively.
• Skilled in using custodial, landscaping, and light maintenance tools and equipment.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs, walk multiple flights of stairs, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must be available to respond during off-hours, weekends, and holidays when needed.
